Deputy Vice-Chancellor Report to VC re AB decisions to establish modify or disestablish a Research Institute or Centre Academic Board Receive reports from DVC regarding decisions on Research Institutes Deputy Vice-Chancellor Consider appeals following perforance review regarding recommendations for Institute or centre to be continued discontinued or modified. Directors of Research Centres & Head of Research Institutes (Institute) Submit performance reports to DVC. Report to DVC whilst in that role. Responsible for budget, direction and resourcing of Centre (including negotiating with Head of School re release of staff) and management of staff (subject to academic staff reporting arrangements). Research Misconduct (Investigations and Recommendations)
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research has the final responsibility for receiving reports of the outcome of processes of assessment or investigation of potential or found breaches of the Rule and deciding on the course of actions to be taken. Investigation Panel Monitor process of investigation, consider the potential breach and provide a draft then final report of findings. Designated Officer Determine investigation is warranted. Human Research Ethics Committee Approve conduct of research involving humans.
