Responsible for budget, direction and resourcing of Centre (including negotiating with Head of School re release of staff) and management of staff (subject to academic staff reporting arrangements).
Directors of Research Centres & Head of Research Institutes(Institute) Pursue major UNE research initiatives and be substantially self-funding. Negotiate Research Block Funding. Set strategic objectives and monitor success against criteria as outlined in policy.
Directors of Research Centres & Head of Research Institutes(Centre) Submit performance reports to Head of School. Head of Research Centre reports to Head of School (responsible for substantive role (agree arrangements with Head of School), budget, resource (release of staff by Head of School to work within the Centre), direction and resourcing of Centre.
